Start your future today. The Academy of Pharmacy Technicians at Fort Meade High School will provide students extensive hands-on learning to enter the pharmacy career field.

The DNA of our coursework intertwines the course knowledge of the health care delivery system with the function of developing quality entrepreneurship skills in sequence with understanding wellness, pharmaceutical terminology, and technological innovations.

Career Outlook

Pharmacy technicians help licensed pharmacists prepare prescription medications, provide customer service, and perform administrative duties within a variety of practice settings, including community, health-system, and federal pharmacy. They are generally responsible for receiving prescription requests, counting tablets, labeling bottles, maintaining patient profiles, preparing insurance claim forms, and performing administrative functions.
