One of the reasons that I decided to join the medical academy was because of how I felt when I was sick. I have four brothers and sisters and when one of us would get sick, eventually all of us would get sick. This is one thing I would like to help other siblings deal with. Also, in this academy I have been able to learn skills that I would not have learned in traditional high school classes. Many of the skills I will be able to use in everyday life, such as proper body mechanics and hand washing. These classes help students to meet and work with others who have the same interests as they have.

While I have been in this academy my career goals have changed from time to time, my attendance and GPA have not changed from the normal, if anything they have improved. My future goals are to be certified as an EKG technician at the time I complete high school and then continue my education to ultimately become a Cardiologist. I plan to work as an EKG technician to help pay for my education and also enable me to have a good foundation in the cardiovascular field of medicine.
