Diversified Agricultural Studies Academy Overview

Animal Science is studying the biology of animals that are under the control of mankind. It includes livestock, farm-type animals, companion animals, and exotics.

The Diversified Agricultural Studies Academy facilities include a state-of-the-art barn, pasture, aquaculture system, and lab. We are also equipped with the latest equipment and tools.

The academy is open to students in grades 9-12 who are interested in animal science. The course progression is as follows:

  • 9th grade: Agriscience Foundations
  • 10th Grade: Animal Science 2
  • 11th Grade: Animal Science 3
  • 12th Grade: Animal Science 4

Through enrollment in the agriculture program, students are encouraged to join Tenoroc FFA. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Tenoroc FFA Members attend various conferences and conventions, participate in many community service projects, compete in Career Development Events, and raise animals and work in agriculture businesses through Supervised Agriculture Experiences.
